Call for Volunteers

Get noticed in the profession and take part in your local community; participate or volunteer side-by-side with veteran lawyers and judges during (and before) Law Week 2010, April 12th to 16th, 2010. Registration is now necessary to ensure your involvement in Canada's largest Law Day celebrations.

We are looking for volunteers, especially lawyers, for ALL Law Day Activities, but in particular for the Secondary School Mock Trials, Elementary School Mock Trials, Phone-a-Lawyer programs and new exciting programs that will be launched shortly.

Secondary School Mock Trials
 

Lawyers (any seniority level) to act as mentors and judges at the quarter final rounds. For further information on the Secondary School Mock Trial Tournament click here.

Elementary Mock Trials
 

We need lawyers to act as advisors who can give 60-90 minutes for two days. You may hook up with a school of your choosing or we will assign one to you. For further information on the Elementary School Mock Trials click here.

Phone-a-Lawyer
 

This program is designed to provide pro bono, adhoc legal answers to the public in your area during Law Day, April 15th for a period of 2 1/2 hours. An advertisement will be placed, free of charge, in your local newspaper advertising your contact information. For further information on the Phone-a-Lawyer program click here.
